International Space Station

This photo courtesy of NASA and the tax payers offers a beautiful view of a mountainous coastal area in the background. I have some ideas where this island might be located, Russia maybe and will try find it on Google Earth this week.

Taipei, Taiwan

This aircraft (below) is in the photo on the left approaching Taipei International.

Aircraft in flight are rarely captured on satellite imagery so I feel pretty dang lucky since this one is probably traveling at about 130 mph on approach.

If you look closely at this ship (above) it is not your usual freighter. Would welcome any ideas.

Mystery Letters

Found these letters etched into the soil off the
coast of Senegal.

Old Missle Silo

This facility is on the Slovak border with Austria, obviously this nuclear missle facility is no longer active, but doesn't it make you wonder about the 1962 missle crisis the Cold War and what was really going on.

Iranian Military Facility

Found this military site on an island just off the mainland of Iran. Any ideas what this place might be, submarine, research, etc...

East of Beirut

Found this large facilities east of Beirut. Doesn't look like your typical garden apartments. If you notice there is a lack of swiming pools and other amenties. (yes I know, but look around the city and you'll know what I mean) Take a close look at the roads in and around the facilities, you'll notice only a few entry points despite looking accessible. Notice the two large holes at the base of the hill. Doesn't look any typical mining site to me.

When doing some research work around the Arctic Circle recently I noticed something interesting a few miles to the north-west of the trench. If I am not mistaken there is an impact crater at 78º02’22.85” N 164º39’09.07” W measuring about 250 miles across.

I welcome any ideas or opinions as to the authenticity of this Google Earth image.
